Sophie Petersen is one of the forgotten heroines. She was the first female geologist, she lived in the first dormitory for women AND a museum. When she was home in Denmark that is, because she travelled far and wide. Trips to Australia, Canada, Hawaii, Iceland, Greenland, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Soviet Union, Thailand etc.
She is just one of many forgotten female academics who paved the way. We are tracing her footsteps and will hear about astronomers, art historians, teachers of French and music and more.
